Beloved Christians,
With patience and dedication to the Lord, the Monastery continues its activities. As of December 18, 2008, Hierodeacon Mardarie from Constanta, has joined our Monastery. Also, the Anglicans have decided to allow us to continue to rent their House for the next few years. This means that we can and must work harder at doing everything possible in order to establish our Monastery in the countryside within the next couple years: we can do this! Even though we are in Recession, we believe that in working together we will, with God's help, make this a reality! Regrettably, we do not get all of the support we would expect from the parishes. The Monastery is not doing competition to the parishes: we only have visitors to support us financially and, because of this, it will be most difficult for us to find the financial means of eventually acquiring land and to build the Monastery, the Church and a Guesthouse. We also want to have our own cemetery to share with the parishes.
One Christian after another, one "stone at a time" and we will be able to materialize this project which will spiritually benefit all of the parishes of our Archdiocese. Because of this, we should all have this project at heart and look at finding means and ways, with hope and faith, to see this Monastery stand to the Glory of God and for the salvation of His people. Please consider making a donation either in person, through the mail or using our website. Also, do come to worship with us sometime. And we invite all of you to attend our next Hram, starting with Maslu at the Greek Church of Sts. Constantine and Helen, on Friday September 11 at 7 pm. Please consult our on-line schedule.

Iubiti Frati si Surori in Domnul,
Cu rabdare si dedicatie fata de Domnul, Manastirea Inaltarea Sfintei Cruci isi continua activitatea. Din 18 decembrie 2008, Ierodiaconul Mardarie din Constanta s-a alaturat manastirii. De asemeni, anglicanii care ne gazduiesc ne permit sa inchiriem spatiul si pentru urmatorii ani. Asta inseamna ca putem si trebuie sa depunem toate eforturile pentru ca manastirea sa-si gaseasca un loc propriu in afara orasului in urmatorii ani. Putem atinge acest obiectiv! Chiar daca trecem prin recesiune economica, credem ca numai lucrand impreuna, cu ajutorul Domnului vom reusi ca acest obiectiv sa devina realitate. Din pacate, nu putem conta pe sprijinul parohiilor, manastirea nu este parohie si nu face competitie parohiilor. Suntem sprijiniti doar de credinciosii care o viziteaza iar din acest motiv credem ca va fi greu sa gasim mijloacele financiare care eventual sa ne permita cumpararea unui pamant pe care sa construim manastirea, biserica, o casa de oaspeti si un cimitir deschis nevoilor din parohii.
Avem speranta ca fiecare crestin va contribui la timpul potrivit la temelia acestui proiect care va aduce beneficii tuturor parohiilor din arhiepiscopia noastra. Din acest motiv, ar trebui ca fiecare dintre noi sa purtam in sufllet acest proiect si sa gasim modalitati de a-l sustine si de a-l realiza, spre slava lui Dumnezeu si spre mantuirea poporului Sau. Va rugam sa aveti in consideratie posibilitatea de face donatii catre manastire, fie personal, fie prin email sau prin websiteul manastirii. Va invitam sa participati la slujbele de la manastire si de asemeni va invitam sa participati la hramul manastirii care va fi precedat de slujba Sf. Maslu la Biserica greceasca Sf. Constantin si Elena, in data de 11 septembrie 2009, ora 7 :00 pm. Programul manastirii poate consultat on line.
De asemeni, incurajam barbatii credinciosi celibatari sa se alature atmosferei vietii de manastire si sa exploreze posibilitatea calugariei impreuna cu Parintele Arhimandrit Nicolas.
